Hollywood Themed Kids' Birthday Bash Tips

Make your child feel like a celebrity on their big day. Everyone deserves to be a super star on her birthdat, so make your child feel extra special with these easy and creative Hollywood tips! Your child will feel like a movie star!

Invitations

Using thick stock paper, create an oversized movie ticket with the "Show Time" on it. Be sure to include a reply-by date, a pickup time, and encourage all the guests to come dressed as their favorite celebrity.

Arrival

Arrange for some adult friends to greet the A-list arrivals as they walk the red carpet. Outfit the paparazzi with cameras and have one person with a microphone announce each star, describing their outfit and asking for interviews. Set up a spot with a backdrop for poses and pictures with the guest of honor.

Birthday Cake

No A-list birthday is complete without Sprinkles...the Beverly Hills cupcake shop that is all the rage with celebrities like Tyra Banks, Oprah, and Katie Holmes. D.I.Y. with one of their easy at home mixes. Warning: these camera-ready cupcakes might just steal the show.

Food

One of the best things about a trip to the movies is the snacks. During an intermission set up an authentic concession counter lined with mini-candy bars, popcorn and soda.

Have an adult stand behind the counter in a paper hat, apron and name tag (from a uniform store) to take orders. Guests can much on popcorn once the movie resumes and easy standbys like pizza, nachos or quesadillas round out this matinee lunch.

Always have something on hand for parents if they decide to stay (cheese, crackers, and sparkling water).
