Homemade garlands are always an easy way to dress up a party, whether that party is celebrated for a birthday, graduation, holiday or for no special reason at all. This DIY garland combines one of the newest party trends, doily crafts, with an easy tutorial for making your own garland or party banner.
So, saddle up and get your glue sticks out, because we’re crafting up a doily garland inspired by a shabby chic cowgirl look. This craft is easy to do and cheap to make, which is my kind of crafting! It's the perfect shabby chic detail for a western theme party or any cowboy or cowgirl birthday party for kids.
Hang this garland in your entryway or above a dessert table. Don’t forget to make horse mason jars and doily sheriff badges for your shindig - no matter the occasion! Swap out the horses for any symbol to suite your theme, for example hearts for Valentine's Day, bottles for a baby shower or grad caps for a graduation. There's no limit to how versatile this homemade doily garland can be in helping you celebrate any occasion!

Supplies:
Horse stencil
Colored Cardstock
Cutting Machine or Scissors
Directions:
Step 1: Fold and glue a doily in half, sandwiching the hemp string.
Step 2: Cut out a horse silhouette or use a cutting machine (like the cricut or silhouette) for this job. Attach the horse to the doily using a glue stick.
Step 3: Repeat steps 1-2 until you reach your desired length of garland.
Step 4: Hang the garland and throw a cowgirl themed party!
