Homemade Italian Cheese Popcorn

Popcorn is pretty much the ultimate snack to munch on while you're watching a movie. So when your planning a Movie Night Party, it’s inevitable that popcorn will be involved some way, some how.

Instead of making the expected buttered popcorn in a bag, up the ante with a more flavorful homemade recipe. This unique Italian Cheese Popcorn adds Mozzarella and Parmesan cheese to the classic popcorn and ultimately, delivers an instant hit with your movie night party guests.

Ingredients:

8 cups Plain Popcorn

8 tablespoons Unsalted Butter, Melted

1 cup Mozzarella Cheese, Finely Shredded

1 cup Parmesan Cheese, Finely Grated

1 teaspoon Salt

1/2 teaspoon Pepper

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F. Place the plain popcorn on a baking sheet.  Pour the melted butter over the popcorn. Quickly toss to coat the popcorn. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper on top of the popcorn.  Toss to combine.

Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake until the cheese has melted onto the popcorn, about 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow the popcorn to cool completely before serving.
