Use a traditional Hot Oil Fondue Recipe for cooking the meat and vegetables for the main course.
The oil should be hot enough that the meat cooks in under a minute.
Because the oil is hot, you'll need to be very careful since any spills could result in a bad burn!
Use a stable, high quality fondue pot for this fondue dish, and plan to have five to ten bite sized pieces each of meat and vegetables for each guest.
Try out this easy recipe that will last you all night.
Ingredients
4 cups oil (peanut oil adds a nice flavor, but use any type of cooking oil)
salt and pepper
dipping sauces and cooking spices
Directions
Pour oil into fondue pot. Heat oil to about 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Cut meat into cubes and season with salt and pepper.
Serve meat with fondue forks or skewers and allow guests to cook the meat in the hot oil.
Arrange dishes of cooking spices for guests to use on the meat before cooking, and dipping sauces to dunk meat in after cooking.
Also a great idea for finishers is to simply set out a spice rack with ingredients guests might want to use to flavor their meat and veggies. After the meal is cooked in the oil fondue, additional flavor can be added with delicious sauces: Soy sauce Balsamic vinaigrette Ranch Bernaise Sauce Teriyaki Hot pepper sauce Steak sauce Honey mustard
