Housewarming Party Cocktail Tips

If you are going with a potluck menu as suggested above, then you, as the party host, should provide the drinks.
  • Set up the bar on your kitchen countertop. Most "spills" happen when one is pouring their drink and kitchen surfaces are easier to clean than a new living room carpet.
  • Keep items like wine and beer in the refrigerator instead of a wine bucket or cooler that would need to be replenished with ice throughout the party.
  • Use fun disposable drink glasses to make clean up quick, and consider renting wine glasses if you can't fathom the thought of sipping wine in plastic.
  • Serve a signature cocktail and give it a thematic title like "Mi Casa Margaritas" or "Home Sweet Home Sangria" as a cheeky homage to your new place.
