How to Make Lollipop Flowers

Flowers are a favorite Valentine's Day gift to give. While the adults in your life will certainly appreciate a big bouquet of roses, the kiddies may not.

Here's a special Valentine treat that's super cute and fun to make. They look like your favorite pink roses, but they'll satisfy that sweet tooth your kiddo loves to indulge.

The kids can even help with this Valentine's Day craft if they want - instead of snacking on them, gift them to all the little Valentines of theirs at school.

We used cupcake wrappers to form the petals for this tasty little flower and placed our favorite flavored tootsie pop at the center. You can use whatever lollipop you love - bubble gum pops work just as well! Just be sure to coordinate your cupcake wrappers to the look of your lollipops.

If gifting to one Valentine, consider staging a dozen or so of these flowers in a small vase just like a real rose bouquet. It also makes a great centerpiece for a fun Valentine's Day dinner or if gifted individually, a perfect party favor!

Materials:

lollipops

colorful cupcake wrappers (You'll need 4 cupcake wrappers for each lollipop flower)

green florist tape

vase (optional)

Directions:

Step 1: Turn two of the cupcake wrappers inside out and place them inside each of the other 2 wrappers.

Step 2: Poke a small hole through the center of all 4 wrappers and insert the lollipop, stick side down. You want the lollipop top to poke out from the middle.

Step 3: Next, twist the wrappers securely around the lollipop stick at the base and tape them tightly with the green florist tape to keep the "petals" in place.

Step 4: Place the little lollipops in a vase or a pot if gifting by poking them into a styrofoam base and covering with green raffia. If using as party favors, we like the idea of attaching a tag with the name of the recipient!
