You don't have to travel to the local Mexican restaurant for the best margarita - we've got the perfect recipe, so make it at home instead.
We're bigger fans of classic margaritas served on the rocks versus frozen concoctions filled with a ton of added fruity flavor. The key to making our favorite margarita recipe lies in the tequila you use, so don't cheap out. You want to be sure to use a high quality white tequila for your marg. We prefer Tequila Don Julio Blanco for it's light citrus taste - and have been known to sip it on the rocks it's so good.
A typical 750ml bottle of Don Julio will run you between $40 and $50, but don't balk at the price. You can easily make up to 10 margaritas with this bottle, and if you add up how much those 10 would cost you at a restaurant, it's half the rate for a better drink.
Our ingredient list is short. We simply enhance the natural citrus flavors of the tequila and serve over ice to make the best margarita recipe at home.
