Inauguration Party Decorations

Decorate for your inauguration party on a shoestring budget. Simply repurpose old 4th of July decorations and supplement them with a few new reasonably priced items.

Check out all our Inauguration Party Ideas to throw your own bash almost as grand as the Inaugural Ball itself -sans celebrities, of course.

Fourth of July Decorations to Reuse:

- Large American flags: hang them on the wall behind or above your television for a super patriotic feel

- Mini flags: pass them out to guests as they arrive, place them in small vases and flowerpots to brighten up a table, or decorate a white cake by placing flags in it.

- Flag banners: Hang them across a dining room wall, or above wherever the food is layed out

- Red, white and blue plates and plastic silverware: make cleanup a cinch by serving your food on paper plates with disposable silverware.

Economical New Decorations:

- Red, white and blue balloons: tie them on the backs of chairs and outside your home for a festive feel.

- Hit up post-Christmas and Hannukah sales and scour the clearance racks for some red and blue candles to light up your home. Small birthday-sized candles can be placed on an inauguration cake. Blow the candles out when the inauguration ends.
