When we think of St. Patrick's Day, we often think of green desserts. Over the years, we've amassed quite the delicious collection of green St. Patrick's Day desserts, but this year, I decided to try something new in the form of chocolate-mint.
With that idea in mind, I wanted to create a special ice cream sundae for our St. Patrick's day dessert. The Irish flag was my inspiration for this green-orange-and white sundae.
I used a gourmet chocolate mint ice cream, warm fudge sauce, mandarin oranges and fresh whipped cream that left everyone ooohing and aahing when I brought their St. Patrick's Day dessert sundae to the table.
It's cool and refreshing and the mandarin oranges are a wonderful compliment to the chocolate and mint flavors. Don't forget to dress it up for the party...I tied a green ribbon to the base of the stemmed ice cream glass and popped a cute little flag on top. Served with some chocolate mint cookies--it's scrumptious.

Ingredients:
Gourmet chocolate mint ice cream
Chocolate mint wafer cookies
1 small can mandarin oranges, drained
Hot fudge sauce
Whipped cream
Chocolate mint wafers for garnish
Directions:
Crumble some of the cookies in the bottom of each glass. Add a large scoop of ice cream; then a drizzle of hot fudge. Layer mandarin oranges on top of this, and then pipe whipped cream on top. Garnish with a chocolate mint wafer.
