Jersey Shore Wardrobe Tips

Dec 29, 2010

A Jersey Shore Theme Party will only be truly successful if all your guests channel their inner Jersey diva and play "dress up." In order to propperly Snook-ify you pouf and to pick out the perfect, "Pauly D" inspired t-shirt, follow these tips to Jersey Shore fabulocity!

Wardrobe tips for wanna-be guidettes

Hair: If your goal is to look like a "tease," then tease it up high like Snooki. If your goal is to appear "sweet," then wear it long and sleek like Sammi Sweatheart. And if you want a "wow" hair-do, insert chunky blonde hi-lights into your brunette hair.

Short shorts: Break out the shortest pair of shorts you own, preferably demin. Put them on. If they cover even a fraction of your upper thigh, according to the guidette wardrobe rules, they aren't short enough. Cut your short shorts so they cover your butt (or at least most of it).

Top: You can get creative with what you wear on top as long as you meet certain guidette criteria: low-cut if you have the "goods," mid-drift if you have the abs and sparkly if you have the right 'tude.

Shoes: Sky-high spiked heels. You don't have a choice.

Accessories: Big hoop earings, lots of bangles and "bling" for all of your piercings. Guidettes never got the memo that belly-button rings are passe.

Wardrobe tips for wanna-be guidos

Hair: Coufed, spiked and gelled to perfection. If you take less than an hour on your hair, you're not trying hard enough according to the guidos.

Cologne: Load it on. You should leave the house smelling like a combo of cheap aftershave and ego topped with Axe.

Jeans: If you spent less than $200 on your jeans that purposely have holes in all in the right places, you should be ashamed of yourself. Guidos spend their hard-earned cash on two things: shots and designer duds.

Shirt: Whether it's Ed Hardy or Armani Exchange, your t-shirt needs to be skin-tight. If it looks like you literally painted your shirt onto your rock-hard bod, then you've achieved an accurate guido look. Bonus if you cut the sleeves off to show off your "guns."

Shoes: Designer Italian loafers in black or (dare I say) white.

Accessories: Gold chains with crosses. Lot of them. If you don't have a gold chain - Fugedaboutid!
