This blood red cocktail is inspired by the popularity of the color red in Asian culture. The fresh fruit flavors combined with the creme de cassis and vodka turn this sip into a complex mix of sweet and sour, which is perfect for a dinner party that turns to the Orient for inspiration, too.
Save time by making it in batches before the party starts, or rely on the simplicity of the cocktail to make it upon request during the party.
1 ounce of vodka
4 ounces of Creme de Cassis
1 ounce of orange juice
Handful of fresh raspberries
Muddle the raspberries and orange juice in a cocktail shaker. Then pour over the vodka and creme de Cassis. Muddle some more.
Note: You can always muddle the ingredients all at once, but we think the extra step allows flavors to blend a bit more.
Next, pour into a tumbler glass filled with ice.
Stir and serve!
