Valentine's Day is the official day to celebrate love, but we're pretty big fans of celebrating it everyday. This crafty project is a fun way to decorate your home using that universal emotion as inspiration. It also makes for a pretty unique valentine to give a special someone on the official day of love.
Follow our simple tutorial to transform some little wooden blocks into a 3-D valentine decoration for your tabletop. All the supplies are easily found at local craft stores and can be purchased on a budget. Just a bit of creativity and DIY elbow grease required to recreate!

If you have a specific color scheme to follow, simply replace the paper design we used with one that will match your look. Also, if you're gifting this or using someone special to inspire your 3D LOVE blocks, consider working in a few photos into the design for added personalization and interest. It's a creative way to display special photos!
Simply replace one paper side of your block with a photo and Mod Podge as directed below.
Supplies:
Four 1 1/2 inch wooden blocks
Black acrylic paint
red, white and black patterned scrapbook paper cut in 1 1/8-inch squares
Alphabet stickers
embellishments
hot glue gun
Mod Podge
Directions:
Step 1: Paint the wooden blocks black with a sponge applicator and let dry. Apply squares of patterned paper to each side of the blocks with Mod Podge. Apply 2 more coats of Mod Podge, letting each coat dry in between.

Step 2: Add small love inspired embellishments to some of the block faces--adhering with hot glue.

Step 3: To provide feet for the bottom of the block stack, hot glue four beads to the bottom of the bottom block. You can add a heart embellishment to the top block.

Step 4: Stack them up and decorate or gift!
