Lemon Drop Martini Recipe

When it came to developing the menu for this party, I chose to serve two theme-related specialty drinks for guests to sip on - a Lemon Drop Martini and a Mint Julep.

Signature drinks, like a dessert table, can be an ideal place to add color or theme-related lingo to your party and can oftentimes be the star of the show themselves.

In this case, I chose to alter a Lemon Drop Martini recipe found on MyRecipes.com for a punch of yellow and it worked wonderfully. The drink looked beautiful on the white bar!

Ingredients:

1 cup crushed ice

5 tablespoons chilled lemon-flavored vodka

3 tablespoons chilled lemon-flavored liqueur

4 teaspoons lemon juice

Lemon peel for garnish

Directions:

Place ice in a cocktail shaker. Add vodka, liqueur, and lemon juice. Shake until mixture is very cold, about 10 seconds. Strain into glasses. Garnish each with a twist of lemon peel.
