If you pick up wings from your favorite wing joint, chances are that they are deep fried and dripping with calories and fat.
Make them at home with my recipe that packs just as much flavor but leaves the fat behind.
4 lbs assorted chicken wings
5 cups Cayenne Pepper Sauce
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
Place the wings in a large colander and rinse well under cold water and pat dry thoroughly with a paper towel.
In a large mixing bowl combine 2 cups of the cayenne pepper sauce and the washed and dried wings.
Place in the refrigerator for 2 –3 hours to marinate.
Place the marinated wings on a sheet pan arranging them in a single layer. Add another 2 cups of the red hot cayenne pepper sauce and bake for 25 minutes. Turn the wings and bake for another 10 minutes.
In a large bowl place the hot wings with the remaining cayenne pepper sauce and serve right away. Garnish with bite-sized cut celery stalks.
