Living Holiday Decor

The holiday season may take place during winter on the East Coast, but that's no reason to use fake or dried flowers in your holiday arrangements! Christmas is a celebration of life, after all, and there's nothing like a live arrangement to cheerfully brighten your home during the holidays. Celebrations.com Expert Mark Addison shows you how in the video below!

Read on for step-by-step instructions to creating your very own live holiday decor.

Supplies

Living plants, like green moss, colored reindeer moss, orange pincushion grass and a selection of succulents
A foam floral ring (choose your size depending on the desired size of your wreath)
U-shaped wire pins
Any other wreath accents you want!
Colored cylindrical containers and floating candles if you want a centerpiece

Directions

Step 1: Begin covering the foam ring with green moss, using the U-shaped pins to hold it securely in place. Cover the entire ring, allowing no foam to show, and adding pincushion grass as you go around for accent.

Step 2: Pin succulents securely in place on top of the moss.

Step 3: For a flat-lying tabletop wreath, fill the three colored containers with water, place floating candles inside, and place containers inside the wreath.

Step 4: For a hanging wreath, simply hang on your door.
