Ah, love letters! While you may be lucky enough to receive one of these heartfelt written gems throughout the year, Valentine's Day is really the occasion when so many of us are reminded to tell that special someone in our life just how truly adored he or she is, and love letters are the perfect way to do just that!
We're not just writing love letters this Valentine's Day, though. We're getting crafty with them for our Valentine's Day decorations. This Valentine's Day banner is made up of assorted envelopes dressed romantically just for the occasion.

This little love letter banner decoration is easy to create, repurposes ordinary objects you've probably already have lying around, is inexpensive and makes for a really unique way to decorate your home for Valentine's Day.
Supplies:
tiny white envelopes (2 1/2 X 3 3/4 inch)
valentine stickers
red and black ink and sponge
felt tip pen -- red and black
length of black and white baker's twine
heart shaped punch
patterned scrapbook paper
Directions:
Step 1: Accent the edges of the envelope backs by tracing around the edges with a felt-tip pen, or inking the edges with a sponge.

Step 2: Adhere some cute valentine stickers to the backsides of the envelopes--but don't seal them yet. Leave some of the envelopes open and tuck some cut-out hearts or little notes inside. Adhere to the inside of the envelope.

Step 3: Space the envelopes out, slip each one over the length of bakers twine, and seal the envelopes closed. For the open envelopes, turn the top flap back and adhere over the twine with adhesive.

Step 4: Punch hearts from black paper and adhere to the twine between each envelope. Your banner is ready to hang. Happy Valentine's Day!
