Luau Games For Kids

Plan some fun party games at your family luau that'll keep both the kids and adults entertained. Here are some fun game ideas that will really get all your guests in the luau spriit.

Pineapple Jello Dive: Haven't you ever dreamed of jumping into a pool of jello? Well, this is the next best thing! A delicious game both adults and kids can enjoy.

Luau Dancer: Invite a professional luau dancer to the party and have her teach party guests some basic hula moves. Pass around grass skirts and leis to guests to help them get in the role!

Pass the Pineapple: Think hot potato but with a pineapple. Have your guests pass around a pineapple around to some luau party music. When the music stops, the person holding the pineapple is out. Continue passing around the pineapple until only one contestant is left and they win a prize!

Have a relay contest, but with a twist: Have the kids race to one end of the yard with a sand pail and shovel. When they reach the other side they must shovel sand from a pre-set pit into their pail, then race back, pour the sand in a team pit and pass the pail to the next runner. The first team to finish wins, but they have to fill their team pit to the top!

Alternatively, for adults, fill a suitcase or a big tote bag with clothes that both a man and woman would wear on a vacation. The relay consists of running to the bag, getting dressed in the outfit, running back with the bag, taking the costume off, and then the next person must put on the costume and run with the suitcase to the other side.

Classic party games with some added luau party inspiration are also a good idea.

Have a tropical pinata. Kids can take home the candy from the pinata.

Play Freeze Dance with luau music.

Have a limbo contest.
