Mad Hatter Birthday Party Games

Games and activities for your Mad Hatter Tea Party themed birthday. Have fun competing in a mad hatter hat decorating competition, fishing for the queen of hearts or chasing spots.

Hat Decorationing

  • When the kids arrive, have them make their own hats.
  • Go to a variety store and purchase all sorts of different hats that the kids can decorate with glitter glue, markers, felt patches, feathers, and whatever else suits your fancy!
  • Once they have decorated their hats, have them wear them during the party and keep as a party goody to take home.
  • Give out prizes for a hat competition, Most Unusual, Most Beautiful, etc. Just make sure to have prizes for each child's creation.

Have a Teacup Relay Race
Fill a teacup with water and have teams run to one end and back without spilling the water out of the teacup.

Fish For the Queen of Hearts

Put a full deck of cards in a hat, and have the kids each pull out a card. When someone picks the Queen of Hearts, she wins!

Have a Spot Chaser
Place spot stickers all over the party room and have numbers written on the back. Have the kids gather as many as they can find in an allotted time frame. Ask the kids to add up their points and whoever has the most wins!
