Make Today a Family Movie Night

With the Golden Globes just around the corner, watching movies is a great way to get in the award spirit and celebrate the night of glitz and glamor. What's great about movie night is that it can cater to a number of situations: family time, a kids party or even a viewing party with friends.

Whether you are hosting a family movie night, a kids party or a movie night with the girls, make movie ticket invitations! This is a great way to let everyone know what time the festivities begin. Plus, this is another creative touch that pulls the whole event together!

Theme

If you decide to do a themed-movie night, you do not have to rely on decorations to create a cohesive theme. Instead, try incorporating your party's theme into the food! For example, if you are having a foreign film night, brew some delicious, Italian-blend coffee or some tasty cappuccinos!

Snacks

For a kids party, create a concession stand. Kids love anything fancy, so serve lemonade in a special, fancy glass with Twizzlers as straws. If you are having a Disney-themed movie night, buy a tub of popcorn with Disney characters printed on the outside. This will add another whimsical element to your party!

Make Your Own Microwave Popcorn

No movie night is complete without a warm helping of popcorn. For this occasion, make your own. This way you can add your own seasonings and flavors to make it truly unique and tasty!

Supplies

Brown paper lunch bag
3/4 cup popcorn kernels
Salt
Powdered Sugar

Directions

Put your popcorn kernels in a bag and add some salt. Close the bag by folding down the opening a couple times.

Lie the bag on its side in the microwave. Cook for about 90 seconds. When it stops popping, take it out.

Add some salt and powdered sugar or any other seasonings your liker.
