Martini Glass Bridal Shower Favor

My mom, sister and bridesmaids threw a bridal shower for me using my most favorite book, movie and jewelry store as inspiration. Breakfast at Tiffany's themed  bridal showers might be popular nowadays, but I've always dreamed of this theme party. I never expected I'd be on the receiving end of it though!

Knowing how passionate I am for party planning, my family and friends paid close attention to every detail of my shower. As I asked a million questions later on and digested the beauty of my bridal shower, I was told they had a bit of trouble deciding on a party favor - while Holly Golightly's signature cigarette holder may have been useful to her, it wasn't something my guests would appreciate past the day.

Finally my favorite ladies decided to place a Tiffany blue box wrapped in white ribbon at every guest's place setting. Inside, was a string of pearls and costume jewelry rings for them to wear at the actual shower.

Later, as guests headed out from the shower, my sister passed out glass martini glasses filled with baby blue, black and white M&Ms and a sugar stirrer. It was a sweet way to end the shower, but also gave guests something to bite into and sip from at a later time - completely color coordinated!

My mom, sister and friend's creative incorporation of color and sophistication made my bridal showers work with the theme they chose even if doesn't immediately stand out as Breakfast at Tiffany's themed -- I guess only an obsessed fan like myself would know how popular martinis were at Holly's fabulous parties in her NYC apartment!

Purchase your candy fillers, ribbon and martini glasses. When ordered in large batches, these supplies will reduce your costs.

Then, to assemble, fill glasses with candy and wrap the filled martini glass in cellophane. Secure with personalized ribbon to commemorate the celebration and date!
