Martini Lingo De-Coded

Dry Martini: made with very little vermouth

Bone Dry or Desert Martini: made with no vermouth at all

Gibson: garnished with a cocktail onion instead of an olive or twist

Dirty Martini: made with a dash of olive juice

Perfect Martini: made with equal parts dry and sweet vermouth

In and Out Martini: made when the vermouth is poured into the chilled glass, swirled around and then poured out. The chilled gin or vodka is then poured into the glass with the vermouth residue.

50/50 Martini: made with equal parts gin/vodka and dry vermouth.
