We call this a Merry and Bright Cocoa recipe because after just one cup, you'll be feeling merry and bright!
Cocoa is a cup of liquid cheer, but add a splash of Coffee Vodka to it and you have a holiday party brimming with merry delight. This grown up version of the traditional winter hot chocolate recipe is a festive drink that's all kinds of sweet, with just a hint of bitterness, thanks to the coffee, to balance it out. All in all, we'd say it's the prefect Christmas drink for a cookie exchange party or a holiday party where cookies are involved!
The recipe is simple to follow and will fill your cup along with five friends' cups.
Ingredients:
3 cups of warm whole milk
1 cup of milk chocolate syrup, plus more for drizzling
Handful of marshmallows
1 cup of hot coffee
6 shots of coffee infused Vodka (about 1 cup)
Directions:
In a large pitcher, add the milk, coffee and vodka, then stir until blended. Next, drizzle the chocolate sauce on the inside of each cup before pouring in your spiked cocoa.
Top with mini marshmallows to garnish before serving.
Serves:
6
