Apple pie may be called the all-American dessert but brownies are pretty tasty competition. They're also quick and easy to prepare, which is perfect for hot summer days.
The type of chocolate you use will affect the taste of this dessert but that doesn't mean you need to run out and by a specific brand. I happen to love milk chocolate, so that's what I used here. If all you have is dark or semi-sweet, then go for it and make a note of which type is your favorite for the future. Oh, and if show up with these to a party, chances are you'll be invited back again and again!
