Red Wine is not something you want to enjoy in the middle of a hot day. It’s more of a cool weather, nighttime drink. But to change things up, I made Red Wine into something much more refreshing – Red Wine Popsicles. Freeze Red Wine and Sugar to create a sweet and cool summer treat.
This adult popsicle recipe is simple enough to make, so there's no reason not to give them a try!

Ingredients
1 bottle Sweet Red Wine, or your favorite wine (Do not use a bitter wine)
2 cups Sugar
About 50 Mini Condiment Cups
About 25 Lollipop Sticks, Cut in half
Directions
In a large bowl, stir together the wine and sugar. Transfer the mixture to a bowl/pitcher that can pour easily.
Place the condiment cups on a flat plate that will fit in your freezer. Divide the red wine mixture between the cups, filling all the way to top. Transfer the plate to the freezer to allow the wine to chill. Once the wine has chilled enough so it sets, place a lollipop stick into the center of each cup. Keep the popsicles in the freezer to harden completely, about 5-6 hours.
Once hardened and ready to serve, remove the pops from the freezer and serve immediately. You will need to remove the pops from the cups before eating.
These last up to 10 days in the freezer.
