Celebrate spring by decorating with a wreath that features bright yellow flowers and accents. Pick up a natural branch wreath from your local craft store - one that has no added trinkets or embellishments.

Build your design around a little Easter scenario within the wreath, such as an artificial baby chick or a small nest with faux eggs. If you want to add a whimsical touch to your wreath, you can incorporate the Easter bunny into the wreath, complete with his little basket and tiny colored craft eggs.

This wreath is for the hostess who likes to keep it clean and simple. Tie it into your decor by incorporating your favorite spring time colors such as yellow and turquoise into your home. Hang complementary wreaths on your front door and your backyard door if you are hosting an outdoor event. You do not have to create 2 of the same wreaths, but incorporate the same theme and colors into both. Your guests won't be able to tell where your backyard ends and your house begins!

Supplies

Natural branch wreath
Small Easter decorations: baby chick, nest, and wooden eggs.
Aleene's Super Tacky Glue or hot glue for an adult only craft
Artificial yellow and white flowers with wired stems or dried flowers

Floral wire
Wire cutters

Directions

Step 1: Decide where decorative items will be placed on the wreath, such as a scene with a baby chick in a nest of eggs at the base of the wreath.

Step 2: Use glue to attach items to the wreath. Or cut lengths of floral wire using wire cutters and attach items by wrapping wire around item in an inconspicuous manner to wreath vines.

Step 3: Insert flowers into wreath and secure with floral wire if necessary.

Step 4: Add a bow to the top of the wreath and weave ribbon within the vines to finish it off.
