Naturally Decaffeinated Teas

More Party Ideas

Designer Tea for the Mom-to Be: Many women avoid caffeine during pregnancy. Luckily, though, some teas are naturally decaffeinated, making them ideal for a baby shower tea.

  • Rooibos - A tea grown in South Africa that has a full-bodied taste and mild aroma. Rooibos is caffeine free, low in tannins and high in antioxidants. Its composition makes it a perfect base tea for mixing in flavorful ingredients such as chocolate, ginger and other delicacies.

  • Herbal Tea - A combination of herbs, fruits and other flavorings to create a blend called "Tisanes" that is technically not a tea. To be an official "tea" the leaves must be from a Camellia tea plant.

  • Always check the label or inquire at the tea shop to make sure the tea blend is caffeine free if you have concerns.
