Ready to throw an end-of-summer clambake?  Intimidated about how to start?  Watch the video and read below for simple tips & suggestions to make your clambake a blast from start to finish!

Clambake expert Tim Burke gives simple, crucial suggestions in the video above. Here's a recap:

  • Throw your party on the beach if you can.  Your guests will have the chance to enjoy the setting sun, giant waves, and relaxed atmosphere as they mingle.
  • Start the party off with seafood appetizers: Little Neck clams, oysters on the half shell, and shrimp cocktail.
  • Follow with a delicious array of main course options: Peppercorn tuna tenderloin, served raw; lobster (steam 10 minutes per pound); grilled swordfish; and corn on the cob.
  • Finish the event with a memorable bonfire on the beach, accompanied by s'mores and singing, if you want!
