The best party I attended has to be my brother's 15th birthday! My brother has always been into sports and most particularly into horses and horse jumping since he was 13, so naturally anything related to sports was a win for him.
For his 15th birthday, which was a long time ago, my father and his wife decided to take advantage of our huge backyard to transform it into a Olympics field! The backyard was divided into 6 smaller arenas where 6 games were played. Of course not all games were really Olympics games, with the exception of jumping, like horse jumping without the horses. In this case, people would be jumping.
Most games were those like passing an egg with a spoon, running inside a potato sack, etc. In the porch, there were craft acti vities too, mostly for the girls. We did painting on ceramics and painting on mirrors. We traced popular cartoon characters, like Garfield, and used special glues and paints to color it.
The adults had fun too! For the adults, there were brain games, like charades, chest, a 'comedy session' as I called it, where they would group together and tell their best jokes, and other activities.
On top of all the fun, food was geat! There was catering service so nobody would be busy worrying about serving food and drinks. And we lucked out with the weather in August; it was a great day!
The party lasted pretty much all day. And it has been my most memorable party to this date! Even my dog participated in the jumping track =)
