Oogieloves Dotty Rounder Cupcakes

The Oogieloves' Dotty Rounder is one fun grandma and these themed cupcakes are inspired by her energy and love for anything round. They're perfect for an Oogieloves premiere party with the kids or a themed birthday.

Kids love cupcakes so we served them up "Dotty Rounder" - style with lots of dots and fun colors! Using prepared fondant from the baking section of the craft store makes it easy to add decorative details to ordinary cupcakes, dressing them up perfectly for such a fun kids theme party without requiring too much work.

Ingredients

Prepared cupcakes and icing
Boxed fondant sheets in vibrant colors {our box contained orange, yellow, purple, and pink}
Rolling pin
Various sized glasses, biscuit cutters, straw, or other item with circle opening

Directions

Step 1: Begin by rolling out a thin sheet of the tinted fondant using the roller. Punch out circles in an array of sizes using the glasses and other items. We used small glasses for the large and medium circles, and a straw for the tiny 'dots.'

Step 2: Top cupcakes with icing and begin layering the fondant toppers to create polka dot designs.
