Oogieloves Theme Snack Table for Kids

For our Oogieloves theme party, the snack table offered a great focal point in our space, but it also served to highlight each of the colorful characters the Oogieloves and kids encounter in the Balloon Adventure.

Whenever you work with a TV show or movie theme it's natural to turn to the characters involved. Working with the Oogieloves for a kids party offers up a ton of inspiration. All of the items on our snack table represent the new friends that the Oogieloves (and our kids) meet along the way.

Ruffy Goldfish - The Oogieloves' friend Ruffy, is a golden fish who lives in a small fish bowl of course. We filled individual sized fishbowls {small rounded vases from the craft store} with goldfish snacks to represent Ruffy. It's an easy and inexpensive snack all kids can enjoy.

Dottie Rounder Cupcakes - Dottie Rounder loves everything round, and is portrayed in the movie wearing red and white polka dots. We lined a tray with red and white polka dot fabric and lined up cupcakes topped with dotted fondant toppers. Even the cupcake wrappers are polka dots! Dottie would definitely approve - and we guarantee the kids will, too!

Lero & Lola's "Maracas" - Lero & Lola live in a huge sombrero and dress in traditional Mexican attire. We made "maracas" to represent this colorful duo from Trix cereal and lollipop sticks.

Bobby Wobbly Bubbles - Bobby Wobbly is a cowboy who loves bubbles, which is just perfect as we haven't met a child who doesn't either! This party wouldn't be complete without a bottle of bubbles for each child. Wrapped in the same colorful tape as our forks, the vibrant bottles look right at home displayed in a tall jar.

Milky Marvin Milkshakes - Not only will you avoid sugary sips, you'll also add a ton of fun color to a healthy drink the kids will enjoy! Serve colorful milkshakes like the ones Milky Marvin serves to the Oogieloves at the diner. All we did was add a drop or two of food coloring to the shakes, and serve them on a tray lined with cow print fabric - just like in the movie!

Rosalie Rosebud - We can't forget about Rosalie Rosebud, who is represented in our table decor through lots of red felt roses on display! This dashing diva offers such fabulous inspiration for the party's decor.

Finally, a colorful fabric banner was hung and flanked by two large gold balloons just like the ones from the film to bring all our Oogieloves party ideas together in one place at the party.
