You may not thnk about decorating for Valentine's Day like you do other holidays. However, when you see how cute and versatile this kids paper craft is, you may reconsider. Get your kids involved and make this fun craft idea to celebrate Valentine's Day.

It's a heart-shaped version of traditional paper chains seen at Christmas that can be used as garland, hanging decor or a wreath. They're so easy to make you may want them everywhere.

Supplies

12 x 12 red scrapbook paper
pencil
stapler
fishing line

Directions

Step 1: Cut a sheet of 12 x 12 scrapbook paper into 12 1-inch strips.

Step 2: Fold each strip in half.

Step 3: Fold the ends together in the middle and staple together. (Depending on age, some kids may need help with this step.)

Step 4: After you have made all your hearts, staple them together at the side. Connect them together in a circle with the points toward the center.

Step 4: To hang, tie a length of fishing line around one of the staples.

You can also create a garland of paper hearts by connecting a bunch together and hanging from each end.
