Your kid’s sleeping bag isn’t the only thing that looks best all rolled up! Classic peanut butter and jelly sandwiches get a makeover in this camp-inspired recipe for PB and J roll-ups.

Perfect for the lunch bag, snack table or even a campout, these bite-sized wraps are a clever way of adding a bit of pizazz to a food you already know your kids will love. Sneak a banana or two into your roll-ups and it’ll look like sleepy camper poking his head out his sleeping bag!

Ingredients:

Whole wheat bread slices

Peanut butter

Jelly or jam

Bananas (optional)

Directions:

Step 1: Start by cutting the crust off all the slices of bread to create nice, even, square pieces.

Step 2: Then, Using a rolling pin, gently roll out slices until flattened and slightly elongated.

Step 3: Spread all the slices of bread with a thin layer of peanut butter and jelly. If using, cut bananas into small one inch segments and line them up so that they are parallel with the top of your flattened bread slices.

Step 4: Begin rolling your bread inward and continue until you have reached the end; press firmly at the end to make sure it sticks.

Step 5: Then, using a sharp knife carefully cut each roll-up into 1 to 2 -inch segments and serve with an ice cold glass of milk.
