Potato chips are great for casual parties, but when you need to dress up your nibbles, these pesto flat breads are simple to make and your guests will love them.

To save time, I use ready made pizza dough, but you can always get out your mixing bowl and make your own fresh dough.

Ingredients

1 ready made pizza dough sheet
1 jar of pesto
1 tube of tomato puree
Olive oil
Parmigian cheese

Directions

Roll out your pizza dough so that it is 1/8 of an inch thin, dust with flour and blind bake at 350F for 20 minutes or until the surface is light golden brown.

Remove the dough from the oven and layer on your pesto and tomato puree so that they thinly cover your dough.

Return to the oven and bake at 350F for an additional 15 minutes, or until the edges start to turn dark golden brown.

Once out of the oven, lightly drizzle with olive oil and finely grated Parmigiano Reggiano cheese.

Before serving, slice into bite size pieces.

Tip: Want to keep this grill-friendly? Follow our directions above, but instead of baking your dough, spray your grill with some oil and lay the dough on top.
