Ah, the cocktail that inspired the famous song, Escape!
Pina Coladas combine a deliciously fresh pineapple flavor with an equally yummy coconut cream into a frothy fruity cocktail no one can refuse.
The classic tropical drink is made differently depending on who is doing the blending, but here at Celebrations.com we like to keep it as simple as we can.
Here's our easy pina colada recipe for when the weather gets warm and we gather the friends around the pool to celebrate and make fun summer memories!
Ingredients
heavy pour of pineapple juice (abbouutt 4 ounces)
an equally heavy pour of dark rum
light pour of coconut cream or milk (if you go with the cream about 2 ounces is good, for milk up that a bit)
ice (you make the call!)
Directions
Pour all of the ingredients into a blender. Blend briefly at high speed, then strain into a glass and serve.
Garnish with a slice of fresh pineapple and a cherry if you have it!
Make it Fresh
*Also, pineapple juice is easy to get hold of, but we've used fresh pineapple in our pina coladas, too. For those who don't mind pulp this is a delightfully fresh alternative!
