Help create a beautiful and keepsake Thanksgiving greeting with this grown-up version of a childhood pop-up book.
Supplies
White cardstock
Double-sided ribbon or 2 different ribbons in fall colors (I used 1" wide bright orange ribbon and 1 1/2" wide dark orange ribbon.)
Decorative fall scrapbook paper (optional)
Double-sided tape, scrapbook mounting squares or craft glue
Scissors
Cornucopia die-cut or a clipart image printed on thick paper and cut out
Directions
Step 1: Cut a piece of cardstock to the size you want your card to be. Based on the size of the ribbon, this card is 4" x 4 1/2".
Step 2: Use the ribbon weaving instructions from the May Arts blog to complete the front of the card.
If desired, glue a piece of decorative fall scrapbook paper on top of the cardstock backing. When open, this will be the inside of the card.
Step 4: To make the pop-up, fold the cornucopia die-cut or clipart in half.
Step 5: Then, with the crease facing you, fold each end slightly towards you. Glue these edges to the inside of the card. Line up the crease (facing out) of the cornucopia with the center of the card.
If you would like, add some decorative stickers and a message inside.
