Prosciutto Wrapped Shrimp with a Current-Wine Glaze

The perfect combination of sweet, salty, and spices make for a delicious appetizer that your guests will love.

Ingredients

1/4 cup currant jelly
1/4 cup red wine
20 raw shrimp, tail-on (shelled & deveined)
20 strips prosciutto
salt & pepper
2 tablespoons fresh thyme leaves

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Microwave currant jelly and wine in a small bowl until melted; stir to combine.

Wrap prosciutto around shrimp. Dip in currant-wine mixture. Place on a lightly oiled baking sheet. Season shrimp with salt and pepper.

Sprinkle thyme over shrimp. Cook for 8 - 10 minutes or until shrimp is thoroughly cooked. Serve immediately.

Serves

Makes 20 shrimp
