Puffed-Gruyere Artichoke Bottoms

Feed these bites to your paramour as a tasty start to your Valentine's Day dinner at home.

Ingredients

1 (14 oz.) can artichoke bottoms (packed in water)
1/3 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup shredded Gruyere cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
Pinch of salt

Directions

Drain artichoke bottoms of water from can. Coarsely chop 2 bottoms, and reserve the rest for the appetizer.

Add chopped artichokes, mayonnaise, cheese, lemon juice, and salt into a bowl and mix thoroughly. Place artichoke bottoms on a broiler pan. Top each bottom with about 1 teaspoon of the cheese-mayo mixture.

Preheat broiler. Place artichokes on pan under broiler for 1 minute or so until tops are lightly browned. Remove from heat and use tongs to place on a platter. Serve immediately.
