Super Bowl XLVII is being held in New Orleans this year, a city famous for it's food, celebratory culture and music, so when planning your Super Bowl party this year, make sure you're ready with a menu that lives up to the host city's expectations.
While you can certainly serve a full Super Bowl party spread with famous New Orleans foods, we think it only right to get a couple of team-inspired ideas in there, too.
And since you can't have a party without cocktails, I figure, why not let a couple of recipes inspired by the two teams face-off? I came up with a themed cocktail for the Baltimore Ravens and one for the San Fransisco 49ers so guests can drink appropriately. If you have people that are indifferent, or you really just want to stick with the host city for inspiration, you can also serve a New Orlean's Hurricane.

Baltimore Ravens: The Raven Cocktail
Ingredients:
1 ounce Catoctin Creek Watershed Gin
1/2 ounce lemon juice
1/2 ounce lime juice
2 ounces cranberry juice cocktail
1/2 ounce Blue Curacao
1/2 ounce Chambord
crushed ice
Directions:
In a cocktail shaker, pour your gin, blue curacao and crushed ice. Give it a good shake and strain into a highball glass filled with fresh ice.
Slowly pour the Chambord over the back of a bar spoon so it floats on top.

San Francisco 49ers: The Gold Rush Cocktail
Ingredients:
2 ounces Charbey "S" Hop Flavored Whiskey
1/2 ounce lemon juice
1/2 ounce lime juice
2 ounces orange juice
lemon wheel and lime wedge for garnish
crushed ice
Directions:
Combine all of your ingredients in a cocktail shaker and mix well. In a hurricane glass filled with crushed ice, pour your cocktail.
Garnish with a fruit wedge and enjoy!
