I asked my friends Matt White and Courtney Love to help me put together my summer rock ‘n roll playlist.
Courtney Love is an American singer-songwriter, lyricist, rhythm guitarist and actress. She is best known as front woman and co-founder of alternative rock band Hole.
Hole released several successful albums in the 1990s, debuting with Pretty on the Inside (1991), an underground noise rock hit which was especially popular in the United Kingdom.
The band followed with two massively acclaimed albums, Live Through This (1994) and Celebrity Skin (1998).
On July 23, 2011 Courtney Love will play in Moscow, Russia at the Afisha Picnic Festival in Kolomenskoye Park. It will be her first appearance in Russia with support from Kaiser Chiefs, Marina and the Diamonds and other Russian and international acts.

Matt White is an American singer/songwriter based in New York. Matt has toured and performed alongside everyone from B.B. King and Sheryl Crow to John Mayer and the Counting Crows, and was most recently on tour with Little Wings and Karl Blau.
Matt's music has been featured in movies, commercials, and TV shows. Most recently, his song Taking On Water was featured in ABC Family's hit show Pretty Little Liars.
