Supplies
Orange and black construction paper
Black crepe paper streamers
Googly eyes
Scissors
Craft glue
Orange pom-poms (optional)
Directions
Draw and cut out the letter "S" from a sheet of black construction paper.
Cut 4 strips of black crepe paper approximately six inches long. Cut each of these pieces in half lengthwise so you have 8 pieces.
Glue the crepe paper strips to the back of the S spacing them out along the letter to resemble spider legs. Younger kids may prefer to glue their pieces in random places.
Turn the S over and glue two googly eyes at the top. You can also glue orange pom-poms along the S to add texture. Allow the glue to dry for a few minutes. Glue the spider S to the orange paper.
If desired, draw in a crooked mouth under the eyes. It makes your spider a little more silly and less spooky!
