If you're one who likes tuna on the rare side or seared, be sure to purchase sushi-grade fish! This delicious recipe is nice and light, great as an appetizer or main entree over rice for a summer party.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 pounds sushi-grade ahi tuna, cut into 1 1/2-inch cubes
1/2 Cup sesame oil
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 Tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons sesame seeds
1/4 Teaspoon salt
Directions:
Mix together oil, soy sauce, lemon juice, sesame seeds, and salt in a large bowl until combined.
Add tuna and turn to coat with mixture.
Cover bowl and marinate in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Remove tuna from marinade and thread on to skewers.
Preheat grill according to manufacturer's instructions for medium heat.
Grill tuna according to each guest's preference.
For seared tuna, which is rare on the inside and slightly white on the outside, cook for about 2 minutes, turning once while cooking. For well-done tuna, which should be completely white on the inside, cook for 8 to 10 minutes turning occasionally while cooking.
Serve immediately.
