Gather up your pretty jars and flower vases. Fill these with your favorite candies from childhood: Red Hots, Mike ‘n Ikes, Tootsie Rolls, Bottle Caps, Bit o’ Honeys, to name a few.

You might also include jars full of caramels, a tower of your favorite milk or dark chocolates, caramel corn, a platter of beautifully frosted cupcakes, urns of your favorite brightly colored hard candy. A pretty piece of marble looks even more tasteful with pieces of decadent fudge piled high on top of it.

Candy Bag

Frost your delectable feast with a basket of small cellophane gift bags for each of your guests. You can stuff them with candies as well with cute photos or sayings to make each a moving personal takeaway.  Also remember to lay out scoops and serving utensils for your guests.  Chopsticks are fun for the candy sushi.

You can create your Candyland vignette either on a buffet table or a couple of side tables.

For the Candyland extravaganza I created, I used side tables, coffee tables and created the main buffet on a giant-wheeled garden cart that was transformed with bright paint and whimsy into a full-blown candy trolley.

If you let your imagination be your guide, I can guarantee that every single one of your guests will have an unforgettably sweet day.

And that’s a (candy) wrap!
