Sexy Candy Corn Costume Top

Candy Corn popping up everywhere is one of the signs that Halloween is here -- why not deck yourself out like everyone’s favorite fall sweet -- but a heck of a lot hotter! This is a cute Halloween costume top idea that'll have you stand out when you're out at a Halloween party.

Supplies

Tank tops or T shirts -- one white, one orange and one yellow
Needle and thread or Sewing machine
Scissors
Straight pins

Here’s an easy way to put together a super sexy, affordable Halloween costume! No major sewing skills are needed, and you can finish it in under an hour. You’ll look sweet as candy!

Directions

Step 1: Try on your white tank or tee and mark a spot one inch under your chest. Remove your top, and cut the tank off at this point straight across. 

Step 2: Cut your orange and yellow tanks straight across so that the neck and arm holes are removed and you are left with just a torso tube for each. Turn both inside out, and set the yellow aside. Tuck the white tank portion inside the orange, so that the right side of the white top is touching the right side of the orange. The interior/wrong side of the orange will be facing out. Pin the raw edges of the white and orange tops together -- the neck of the white top will be pointing down. Sew this seam on a sewing machine or by hand. 

Step 3: Decide if you want a mini-dress or a tank top for your ensemble. Try on the white/orange top you’ve made so far, and mark where you’d like the yellow to start. Take off your top and trim off the bottom finished edge of the orange top at this point -- if you’re just making a tank, you may trim off several inches more, but if you’re making a dress you will trim less. If you are making a dress, make sure you have enough length between the white, orange and yellow to cover your bum J Turn the orange/white shirt inside out. Tuck the yellow tube inside the orange/white, so that the bottom raw edge of the orange portion lines up with the raw edge of the yellow. The right side of the yellow tube will be touching the right side of the orange, and the wrong side of the orange/white will be on the outside. Pin the raw edges of the yellow and orange together, and sew. Trim your thread, turn the whole thing inside out, and you’re done! Pair it with black fishnets and heels for a super sexy look, or jeans or leggings for a more casual take.
