Create an easy party menu for this year's Halloween party - just pay attention to details and get creative with your selections to impress guests for less!

Celebrations.com's Party Planning Pro Shawn Rabideau shares a few of his best kept secrets to inspire your Halloween food selection that will certainly make a statement on the buffet without breaking the bank.

Embellish Halloween Food with DIY Decorations

Whether you make your food from scratch or buy it at the store, one of the easiest ways to keep it festive is to display selections on themed-party platters.

Skip the paper plates and DIY a fabulous Halloween table by covering platters you already have on hand with orange duct tape.

Then, place a Halloween scrapbook page (like the spider web one above) on top of that and arrange your foods on there.

End on a Sweet Note with Halloween Treats

Bake or buy a three- or four-tiered red velvet cake. Layer and cover with cream cheese icing.

Once set, drizzle red gel coloring along the sides to mimic dripping blood and top with three rose blooms.

The roses should be a few days old with the ends of their petals beginning to turn in order to get that undead look.

Tip: Display your cake with a slice already cut and placed next to it on a smaller plate to get guests drooling!
