Ever think to spice up your next salad with chorizo?
Not only does it add great flavor, but this Spanish sausage gives your salad a hint of color that will dress it up for your guests.
Apart from it's interesting taste and bright color, this salad recipe only requires 3 ingredients to make. It can be easily prepared with little or no fuss for your next dinner party or whenever unexpected company drops by for a visit.
If you want to add more variety to your salad and use more than 3 ingredients, you can add a few grilled peppers or tomatoes to give it something extra. But don't second guess yourself, it is just as great and flavorful with just the 3 ingredients listed below!
6 links of chorizo (I used fresh grilled chorizo, but cured chorizo works just as well)
Baby spring leaves
Parmigiano Reggiano cheese
Start out by washing and preparing the baby spring leaves and leave to dry while you prepare the chorizo.
If you are cooking the chorizo, follow the instructions on the packet and fully drain off all the oil before placing on the bed of fresh spring greens.
Once in place, shave some fresh Parmigiano Reggiano cheese over the top and mix together.
If you are looking for a little salad dressing, drizzle the cooking oil over the top of the salad, but only lightly -- you are looking to infuse flavor, not drench the salad in oil.
Share this simple recipe with your guests! Your salad will be a light and flavorful hit at your next gathering.
