As a kid, Halloween always meant two things: fun costumes and lots of sweet treats. Now as an adult, the holiday hasn't lost it's luster when it comes to fun in general, and while I do try to limit my candy in-take a bit more than I used to when I was younger, I'm still always ready for a sweet treat.
Halloween, no matter how old you get, deserves to be celebrated with sweets. If you're hosting a Halloween party at home or you're just looking to give your close friends and family a special gift to celebrate the holiday, this simple edible favor I passed around at my Halloween party for adults only is a great idea.
Having a favor for your guests at any party is a great way to send them off in style. I have always believed that favors dont always need to be fancy, or complicated.

To make the favors, take your favorite Halloween treats and place them in individual favor bags. Then, I used coordinating favor tags that matched my party invitation from Pear Tree Greetings to seal the bags and tie the favors. Do this with your own stickers or labels, then place the favor bags in a large bowl and stage that either on the serving table, or by the door to make it easy for guests to grab.
My favorite candies are Candy Corn and Halloween colored M&Ms, so that's what I filled my treat bags with, but feel free to use any type of Halloween candy you prefer. You can decide to just use one type of candy or multiple types.
If you want, get creative with the treats you fill your Halloween bags with. For example, you can make homemade chocolates in Halloween shapes by melting chocolate and pouring it into a mold to solidify.

Another sweet chocolate treat your guests won't say no to? Chocolate covered Oreos that look just like a jack-o-lantern.
Alternatively, skip the candy overload and fill your favor bags with homemade popcorn and sprinkle a few pieces of candy corn into the mix.

Marshmallows on a stick are popular this Halloween as well, so consider getting crafty with these fluffy ingredients and put them in a favor bag.
