Snow Cap Candy Cocktail

Contributor

Give your chilly mitts something warm and toasty to hold all through the night, by mixing up a creamy Snow Cap cocktail.

Ordinary hot cocoa undergoes an après ski makeover with a hint of vanilla vodka and mocha liqueur that will add some pep to your step even after hours on skis.

Inspired by that chocolate candy topped with a dusting of white, this sweet sip can be made a mocktail with the omission of the alcohol. Replace your vodka and Kahlua with a dash of peppermint extract and a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a kid-friendly winter drink that's warm, cool, sweet and fresh all at once!

Ingredients:

1 ounce Kahlua peppermint mocha

1 ounce Absolut Vanilla vodka

1 ounce hot chocolate

Whipped topping, for serving

Snow Caps candy or other chocolate nonpareils, to garnish

Directions:

Prepare your hot chocolate - we used an instant packet with boiling water and splash of milk for this drink.

Next, combine the hot chocolate with your peppermint mocha Kahlua and vanilla vodka in an Irish coffee mug. Stir well to combine, and then top with a dollop of whipped cream and garnish with Snow Caps.

For the kid-friendly version, consider mashing up a few Snow Caps and rimming the lip of the glass with them, too!
