Making dinner while your guests arrive is hardly stress free, but whipping up a simple stir fry takes the stress out of live cooking.
Healthy, flavourful and filling, stir fry sets the tone for an Asian themed dinner party menu that will have your guests reaching for second helpings.
I used beef in this recipe, but you can replace with shrimp, pork or chicken.
1 tablespoon of freshly minced garlic
1 tablespoon of freshly minced ginger
3 tablespoons of Soy Sauce
2 tablespoons of Rice Wine Vinegar
1 pound of Lean sliced beef
Large handful of fresh snow peas
1 chili (optional)
1 cup of scallions
2 tablespoons of peanut oil
Place your Udun noodles into a rolling pot of boiling water and follow the cooking directions, usually 5-7 minutes until fully cooked.
Once cooked, strain and drizzle peanut oil over them to prevent any sticking effect that may take place while your beef cooks.
Next, place your beef and peanut oil into a hot wok and stir until sealed.
Then add the rice wine, soy sauce, ginger, garlic, optional chilli and snow peas and cook until the snow peas turn a vibrant green.
Add your scallions just before removing from the heat to gently steam them, but not overcook.
Before serving, mix your beef and vegetables with the Udon noodles and sprinkle the dish with sesame seeds.
