More Party Ideas

Plan these fun games and activities to play at your SpongeBob Square Pants theme kids birthday party. You don't have to go to Shell City for a SpongeBob adventure. Set up a scavenger hunt with seashells, toss sponges into an inflatable pineapple, or print out a Pin the SquarePants on SpongeBob game to play at the party.

Spongebob Printables

Nickjr.com has got you covered for a SpongeBob Bash with computer printables like:

Sea Shell Hunt

  • Purchase bulk shells on line or at a craft store.
  • Hide the shells prior to the party in your yard or around the party space.
  • Give each kid a loot bag.
  • On "go" kids hunt for the shells and collect them as party favors.

Sponge Toss into a Blow-up Pineapple

  • Purchase yellow kitchen sponges (without the green scrubber on the back).
  • Buy an inflatable pineapple drink cooler or two online.
  • Have the kids stand a few feet away from the pineapple and try to toss the sponges into it.
  • Consider making the sponges look like Spongebob by gluing felt eyes, a red tie, brown square pants, and all features on to the sponges. (Perfect party prep craft for the birthday child!)

Jellyfish Limbo

  • Purchase small rubber jellyfish toys and hang them from a limbo stick.
  • To play the game, 2 adults hold the stick as the kids dance under it to music.
  • Players are eliminated from the game when they touch the jellyfish.
  • The player who can dance under the stick at its lowest point without touching the jellyfish wins the game!

SpongeBob Party Classics

  • Hang a SpongeBob pinata to end the party with a bash!
  • Hire a SpongeBob character to come to your party and entertain the kids.
  • Rent an under water or tropical themed bouncy house.
