When planning a party, shower or get together it is usually easiest to start with some sort of theme. For this Spring “Shower”, umbrellas were used to highlight both the season and the event.

Make your favorite umbrella your centerpiece of the table. Fill a cylinder glass vase with limes and place umbrella inside.
Also with your theme, keep in mind the colors used. Pink and lime green were the colors used throughout this shower. However, changing the colors but keeping the same theme can give you a gender specific party easily!

Use coordinating plates, napkins and accent pieces that all compliment the theme and table. Lime green and white polka dot melamine plates sat on top of white chargers at each place setting at our shower.

A simple white napkin folded into an umbrella shape were tied with lime green satin ribbon and accented with pink scrapbook paper umbrella cut-outs.

To embellish the table, we created a synthetic grass runner. Sprinkle acrylic crystals, or “raindrops” along runner for added “shower” elements.

A pair of rain boots were used as a vase for an extra special touch. We filled the boots with tulips and set on a table to greet the guests. It's so easy to make any vessel capable of holding water a vase, and party guests are always impressed when something is used in an unexpected way.
